      1. Exhibition catalog for ORIENT/ATION – The Vision of Art in a Paradoxical World, 4th International Istanbul Biennial, Istanbul, curated by René Block (10.11.1995–10.12.1995). Block emphasized a non-national concept for the Biennial, which underlined the diasporic nature of much contemporary art production of the time and suggested that: ‘The end of the 20th century is a time of movable juxtapositions: Nothing remains as it is. The margins move towards the centre and the old-established frontiers shift to the periphery. Fixed systems dissolve in drifting passages.’ Exhibited artists included: Hüseyin Alptekin, Luchezar Boyadjiev, Sophie Calle, Cengiz Cekil, Mat Collishaw, Esra Ersen, Zaha Hadid, William Kentridge, Aydan Murtezoglu, Shirin Neshat, Karin Sander, Nedko Solakov, Rosemarie Trockel, Lawrence Weiner, Rachel Whiteread, etc.
