      1. Nina Power is a philosopher and activist whose writings span European philosophy, politics, art, film, and literature. She is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Humanities at the University of Roehampton, London, where she teaches Philosophy. A regular contributor to journals and magazines such as New StatesmanThe GuardianNew HumanistCabinetRadical Philosophy, and The Philosophers’ Magazine, Power’s writings have also appeared in Theory and Event, Parallaxboundary 2Critical HorizonsDiscourse: Journal for Theoretical Studies in Media and Culture, and Subject Matters: A Journal of Communication and the Self, as well as numerous anthologies. Power is author of the acclaimed One-Dimensional Woman (2009) and, with Alberto Toscano, co-editor and translator of Alain Badiou’s On Beckett (2003). She is also a founding member of the campaign group Defend the Right to Protest and corresponding editor for Historical Materialism. Power lives and works in London. [Last updated 2016]
